The Irrational Brain

The rational mind works hard all day, making us function in a heteronomous world with norms, rules, practices which help us fit in.

And then there’s the end of the day or the year, which brings alive the irrational brain. The irrationality breathes consciousness in our being, our existence. In the abyss of hopelessness, it brings a ray of hope. How would we build dreams out of nothing if the irrationality didn’t let us. It lets us see what isn’t, it lets us unsee what is.

In all the structure of this world, the irrational breaks invisible barriers. It unleashes creativity and forms poetry out of mundane words, art out of visuals that exist in crevasses of our mind by knitting them together in patterns that can’t be explained, it writes music to give form to emotions.

There is no AI in the world that can copy the irrational. And till then, we have something that is our very own which feeds the systems of the future with it’s own originals.
